Beyond Lickin’ is a wild garage‘n’surf trio that hails from Pernis, the Netherlands. The band was founded somewhere in the mid 90’s and although the looks might have changed, the twang hasn’t! Over the years Beyond Lickin’ played at venues such as Vera Groningen, Watt Rotterdam and Maloe Malo in Amsterdam. They played festivals like the Primitive Festival Rotterdam, Zomertarras Vlaardingen and the Queensdayfest in Venlo. They toured Germany and Italy and played with great bands like the Spider Babies, the Apers, Low Point Drains, The Perverts and the Dirt Bombs. In 1998 Teen Scream Records released the first 7” by Beyond Lickin’, a split with the Waistcoats. Stardumb Records released ‘the Lickers Revenge’ 7” in 2001 and the Lickers debut ‘the Return of the Pantyhose Snatcher’ in 2005. Dirty Track Recordings released the 12” ‘High Heels Fuzz’ in 2010, the long awaited follow up from 2005. Their latest record has more to offer than just a fancy sleave design. It contains some covers by the Travoltas en The Jesus & Mary Chain, but also some highly danceable Lickermaterial such as ‘On a break’ and ‘Wetsuit’. There are also some killer compilation tapes, CD’s and LP’s that future song by Beyond Lickin’. Beyond Lickin’ is often compared with bands like the Sonics, the Makers, the Shadows or the Milkshakes. And if you crank out y'r computer you can hear they play garage, surf and cockrock’n’roll.

It does not hide the fact to be inserted, but it is clear that all members of Beyond Lickin have 'something with a surf lifestyle one surfs the net for new kicks, the other on his guitar and the third defies the highest waves on his Surfboard. Our three friends are sharing the passion for sixties guitar tunes whether it is a reverdreched Trashman song or a feelworse tune of Hank B Marvin and his Shadows. This shared love can be heard in their live performances back. For many years were the fake vintage guitar sounds of the Lickers infused with short and long echoes of the past but sincethey purchase a wonderful echo machine from the sixties is unstoppable. triplet Because it’s so easy nowadays to contact a portable stereo mp3 recorder your own music, the band decided to have some classical guitartunes to go and take this meadow on the world wide web to share with all and sundry. And also with you! Starting with the Peace pipe and Apache. Later this year include more tunes from the Belgian Jokers, the Spotnicks and more bands from the past. I would say spotlight on the Lickers. Surf directly to their first Cloudalbum on SoundCloud and be Happy man!
